Hi guys! We’re two weeks in for October and yet Florida weather stays in the high 70s. I truly do miss seeing leaves turn colors and that sweater weather breeze but I’ll make do with the sunshine and palm trees I guess. And while Florida is being a rule breaker when it comes to seasonal weather changes, I have to say I’m being a rule breaker this autumn by dressing in pastel hues. Yep, I’m the girl who wears white jeans after labor day but  you know what’s awesome about this…I’m not the only one this year! You may have noticed an array of white jean outfits in your fashion feed lately and honestly it’s a trend that I love. There’s something crisp and classy about bringing white jeans to any outfit and in this case, it’s with my latest Francesca’s find.

Can we take a minute to admire this top? *Sigh* I can’t even decide what I love most about it. Is it the statement sleeves that are light and airy enough to wear day or night in this Florida weather?  Is it the off shoulder detail that makes anyone’s shoulders look feminine and refined? Or maybe it’s the beautiful floral design that allows you to venture out in darker jeans if the mood strikes? I’m just going to go with all of the above (; It’s material is so soft and comfy which is great when going on a date that requires eating to your heart’s content without being afraid of exposing a food baby hahaha.

Side note: although I’m loving my lucite heels, I recommend wearing these beauties for short periods of times. I found that wearing wedges with this outfit also gets a lot of head turns so doll up to your comfort level ladies!

Stay trendy in pastels,

Embroidered Tulle Top

Top: Zara “Embroidered Tulle Top” | Crop Top: A’Gaci “Basic Crop Cami” | Bottoms: Hollister “High Rise Jean Leggings” | Shoes: DSW Mix No. 6 “Avery Sandal” | Choker: H&M

When it comes to see through clothing like mesh or tulle, I usually stay away since it is out of my comfort zone but when I found this beauty in Zara I just couldn’t walk away. I mean, you got to try new things at least once, right? 😀

Where to begin with this embroidered tulle top? The short frilled sleeves give the top a feminine feel whereas its embroidery detail makes the top trendy for a day or night outing. The buttoned opening in the back gives the top a dainty detail that I love.

Since I love creating night out outfits with minimum hassle, I decided to wear this tulle top in an all-black ensemble with a crop cami underneath and a high rise pair of jeans. Voila! Effortlessly chic in black (;

Embroidered Floral Jeans

Top: Francesca’s “Dolley Double Eyelet Ruffle Knit Tee” |Bottoms: Zara “Embroidered Floral Jeans” | Shoes: DSW Mix No. 6 “Avery Sandal” | Bag: Kate Spade | Choker: Forever 21

Three words currently trending this fall: Embroidered. Floral. Jeans.  Of course I wanted to jump on this train immediately but after seeing the different floral designs Zara jeans in store I knew I had to pick my floral design wisely. My suggestion would be to go with a floral design that has colors you usually wear so you can match it easily with any top from your closet.  I decided on the floral design that had white detailing since I knew I can dress up or down with any white top- from a classic button down to a girly ruffle sleeve tee (side note: the amount of white tops I own is alarming haha).

With the ripped hem on the jeans, it’s perfect to dress down with your favorite sneakers or dress up with heels or booties. To keep this a fall transition look, I decided to add black accessories such as my heels, cross body bag and choker (you can never go wrong with black this fall season). As for fit, these jeans are pretty comfortable…like you can stuff yourself with a NY style slice of pizza and then run around the streets taking pictures type of comfortable…yes I’m speaking from experience *Monkey Face Covering Eyes Emoji* One more reason to buy these Zara jeans? Since I’m 5’1, I’m always on the lookout for any jeans that don’t require additional tailoring so these jeans are a huge win!

Navy Eyelet Set

Top: Hollister “Ruffle Eyelet Crop Top” | Skirt: Hollister “Eyelet Skater Skirt | Shoes: Marc Fisher | Bracelets: Alex and Ani

Roses may be red but they should be navy blue because it’s my favorite fall hue (poetry was never my strong suit guys but I really wanted a rhyming intro today lol) But really though, I learned to love navy blue this year! It’s a great neutral alternative that works in every season. When I spotted this adorable eyelet set in navy, I just knew this would be another great summer to fall transition outfit as we’re closing in this month of August (!!!)

I spotted this set a few days ago in Hollister and knew I had to try it on before letting the excitement get the best of me and do an impulse purchase. The ruffle crop top can be snug so I am wearing a size small (bonus: it has adjustable straps). As for the skater skirt, I loved how the extra small fit on me so it’s really a matter of preference. My favorite part of this set is the eyelet material which is great in this Florida weather.  I added my light brown wedges to complete this summer to fall outfit but it can also look great with cute pair of cowboy boots for any future tailgates y’all (; #footballseason

Trend Spotted: Leopard Print Slides

124561013714911

Top: J.Crew (Old, Similar: J.Crew “Drapey Ruffle Cami”)  | Bottoms: Topshop “Joni Skinny Moto Jeans” | Shoes: Michael Kors “Natasha Leopard Calf Hair Slide” | Watch: Michael Kors

Happy Monday you guys! I’m super excited to share with you all today my latest fall trend find that will be on repeat (fair warning haha): these Michael Kors leopard print slides! The slides were a belated birthday gift from the best parents ever and were definitely worth the wait.

So quick review on these spotted beauties: although they are a bit on the pricy splurge side, you definitely pay for an impeccable quality that Michael Kors has to offer. They are so comfortable for walking all day and the leopard print has the softest texture. I never thought I would end up owning slides but now I’m just wondering why I didn’t jump on the slides train sooner! I love how you can slip them on quickly if you’re on the run and how it just adds a classy flair for any last minute outfit you have on at the moment. True to size, I definitely recommend making this fall trend investment ladies.

Just like gingham and stripes, leopard print is great neutral pattern that can be used in a trendy way this fall. For a summer to fall outfit, I decided on combining a summer color with a fall hue- white and purple (best color combo since 1-9-9-0 if you know what I mean 😉 #aKDPhi). Adding my Michael Kors watch, this outfit can easily be worn for casual outings day or night. You can just as easily dress up these leopard slides with a classic little black dress and gold chunky jewelry. Leopard print shoes are everywhere in stores nowadays- from heels to sneakers, so show off those spots proudly in your own way ladies!

Stay trendy in all things leopard print,

Floral Off Shoulder Romper

Dress: OOTDFash “Jamie Pink Floral Romper” | Shoes: Lulus “Clear to Transparent Lucite Heels” | Purse: Tuckernuck “Natural Sofia Half Moon Clutch” | Headband: Forever 21 | Bracelet: Francesca’s

Although it’s only been three weeks since I’ve been back from Punta Cana, I can’t help but reminisce on my favorite romper which is why I had to share it with you guys today! Yes, I am kicking myself for not taking enough pictures with this romper in Punta Cana, but I was able to wear it out in downtown Tampa as some of you fellow Floridians probably have noticed by now #RiverwalkViews

I came across this romper when buying my two piece rose embroidered set from the online boutique OOTDFash (you can read more about my two piece find on my blog post “Two Piece Set + Top Summer Movies”). What I love about this romper is the slips which show off the shorts in a flirty peek-a-boo way. I’ve worn this for casual girl nights with flat sandals and heels for when the occasion calls to be more dolled up. I decided to wear my lucite heels this time since honestly I’m still in the light summer hues mentality! But if you wanted a more fall transition with this romper (we only have like two more weeks of August *Monkey Face Covering Mouth Emoji*), you can add black or brown shoes and accessories. Side note- I have noticed that this peachy blush tone will continue to be on trend for fall and winter so I’m definitely going to be wearing it out as much as it’s socially acceptable (;

Little Denim Dress

12345678910

Dress: A’Gaci “Emmy Embroidered Denim Dress” | Shoes: DSW Rocket Dog “Marisol Flatform Sneaker” | Bracelets: Alex and Ani

Hi guys! We’re officially halfway done with the week, yay!  I noticed a theme lately on my posts and that’s the fact that we are transitioning to fall.  And although some of us lucky ones can stay in summer clothes a little longer, I am keeping my eye out for those clothes that can be considered “in-between summer and fall.” I feel like that’s the definition of August if we’re being honest haha. Also, if we’re being honest, August is the hardest month for me to shop and find things I love instantly. I tend to get a bit frustrated since I don’t like being at the stores all day and come back empty handed #thestruggleisreal. But the stars must have aligned or the fashion icons smiled in my favor because I just recently scored this perfect little denim dress from A’Gaci. Denim dresses can be seen in the summer and fall so why not buy this (the logic of a shopaholic is a strange one, I know lol).

What first caught my eye was the embroidery which is a trend that I can totally see transitioning to fall as well. The floral blue and black embroidery gives this dress a versatile vibe so you can style it with espadrille sneakers for the summer or a long cardigan with black ankle booties for the fall.  This denim dress fits as bodycon dress so it’s a bit snug but the size small worked best for me since I’m 5’1. Side note: the cami straps are adjustable. It is under $40 so I suggest buying it online to take advantage of the student discount they offer! After falling for this dress, I’m going to be on the hunt for more denim things so fair warning 😀

Stay trendy in denim dresses,

Maxi Monday

1234567

Top: Charlotte Russe “Crochet-Trim Faux Suede Cold Shoulder Crop Top” | Bottoms: Charlotte Russe “Wrap Slit Maxi Skirt” | Shoes: DSW Mix No. 6 “Avery Sandal” | Choker: Forever 21 | Bag: Aldo “Crossbody Bag”

As we’re starting off our second week in August, I thought I can share with you guys my newest favorite maxi ever! I must confess I was not the one to discover this trendy find though. One of my friends had it on while we were at Punta Cana and I fell in love with it since then! When she mentioned she got the maxi skirt from Charlotte Russe, I was a bit unsure if it would still be on sale when I was back in the States.  So imagine my surprise when it’s still on sale and for $10! *Cue in those angelic hallelujahs* Side note: Thanks Ale for the fashion find tip ❤

What I love about this maxi skirt is the flirty slit detail which looks great when you want to show off just the right amount of skin for a night out or even as a day outfit. Because I’m already noting the autumn vibes around, I decided to get this maxi skirt in teal which looks great with black and nude for night outings and white if I wanted to wear it during the day. At 5’1, this maxi skirt’ length is perfect with heels but might need to be tailored if I only wanted it worn with flats instead. Nevertheless, I personally like the length since I wear heels about 50% of the time anyhow 😉 Because I scored this skirt on sale, I decided I would allow myself to splurge on the top (the logic of a shopaholic haha) but great news ladies! This top is on sale as well! Never thought I would score two cute finds for under $20 each in Charlotte Russe but hey here I am a believer now.

Stay trendy in maxi skirts ladies,

Color Combo Trend: Pink and Blue

4213567

Top: A’Gaci “Aribella Cold Shoulder Top” | Bottoms: H&M “Scallop-Hem Denim Shorts” | Shoes: J. Crew Factory “Striped Chunky-Heel Sandal” | Bag: Kate Spade “Cedar Street Maise” | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Bourbon and Bowties “Pearl Bangle Bracelet”

Happy Friday! If you’re like me, you’re probably going to do some major retail damage over the week (anyone else check out that Nordstrom sale yet?!) I have noticed that the color scheme in stores is changing to autumn hues but that doesn’t mean you have to put away your bright clothing just yet! Today I want to share with you guys my favorite color combo that involves a summer bright with an autumn hue: pink and navy blue!

Although we’re already in August, I found this fabulous pink top in A’Gaci a few days ago and just couldn’t convince myself to let it go. The off the shoulder ruffle detail is so comfortable that it looks great with shorts but can be worn with dark jeans once the cooler weather hits. Side note: I think this off the shoulder trend might stay for autumn as well, which is awesome if you live in a sunny state like Florida! So to justify my summery purchase, I realized I needed to find a way to wear it for the next couple of months.  Having the urge to wear my blue striped heels again served as my eureka! moment when I paired the pink top with the shoes. The striped detail gives this outfit a nautical vibe while the navy blue handbag makes the combination of a summer bright and autumn hue a match made in heaven 😉  Who knew navy blue and pink would look amazing together?!

Smocked Off-the-Shoulder Gingham Beach Dress

124768

Dress:  J. Crew “Smocked Off-The-Shoulder Gingham Beach Dress” | Shoes: Forever 21 | Clutch: Tuckernuck “Natural Sofia Half Moon Clutch” | Bracelets: Alex and Ani

*Cue Eminem’s voice*: “Guess who’s back, back again…”- literally the song that is stuck on my head as I’m writing this #sorrynotsorry. It has been a little more than the week I anticipated, but I’m back, refreshed and tanner than ever after my trip to Punta Cana. I promise I will be sharing more details of the trip later this month! It’s still hard to believe its August already and here I am about to share my favorite beach dress with you guys, haha. This is what happens when you live in Florida though! Its beach weather like 70% of the time here, while the other 30% is hurricane weather.

From experience, I know beach days usually consist of being in the beach all day so bringing snacks is always a requirement. But if you want to dine at a beach-side restaurant, owning a comfortable yet stylish beach dress is a must! This is why I am in love with this gingham beach dress from J. Crew. It’s airy enough to hide the fact that you might have consumed more than three slices of watermelon during the day for starters! Because it is a beach dress, it’s a bit sheer but nude undergarments solves that small problem. The off-the-shoulder detail makes this dress stylish enough to dress up with a pair of white wedges or dress down with cute beach sandals. To complete the outfit, I accessorized with my favorite Alex and Ani silver bangles and clutch.

I know school starts soon for many of us, so try to squeeze in more beach days before it’s time to hit the books you guys:)
